Always in the want of abs, I finally joined Funxional fitness. The ambience looked great and the staff at the front desk was also polite. There were lockers and steam showers were also available. Gym trainers and instructors were also present.
After filling my membership form and paying them for the year, I went to speak to the instructor. I told him about my situation that I was thin and underweight.
But I had fat around my waist and stomach. So I did not know how to get muscle mass in my body and lose belly fat. After losing fat, I wanted to work for abs.
The instructor told me to come the next day. He instructed me every single day and I did as he told. But as time passed, my weight kept on losing further till I looked malnourished.
My face had shrunk and my body looked weird. Due to this weight loss, I also got stretch marks on various parts of my body. I became so weak that every day after the gym I felt like I would collapse.
I even puked for a few days. Something was not right with my body. I thought I must consult about these with a doctor or anyone else apart from the instructor.
I booked an appointment with a doctor. I met him on the decided date and informed him about the entire problem. I told him every single detail and answered all his questions.
He surprisingly said that my instructor had no idea what he was doing to me. The trainer had given me the exact opposite advice and guidance, enough to destroy my lifestyle and health.
The doctor explained to me and said that since I was skinny, losing weight first would lead me to lose energy and strength. So continuing going to the gym would lead me to feel sick, tired and nauseated.
Hence, I was feeling this way. The proper method was to first gain weight and then develop a better appetite.
Hearing these things, I pitied myself. I immediately went to talk to the trainer. I repeated the words of the doctor. The instructor is so rude and adamant started arguing with me in front of everyone.
He even raised his voice in front of the gym owner. The owner kept quiet and said not a word about respecting gym members. I told him that the doctor is right, as his explanation was very logical and rational. What the doctor said was something of common sense.
My entire effort into the gym, into dieting, the lifestyle, everything was a waste of time. I cancelled my subscription because not only the trainer was at fault, but everyone at large. The owner recruited a trainer who knew nothing about workouts.
Also, he did nothing when an argument had taken place in his gym in front of everyone. This shows he was not at all respectful. He was only interested in earning money anyhow.
I ask each one to not visit this place no matter what. A lot of your money will be wasted on following the diet, paying the subscription, buying various products for muscle mass, etc. Our time and effort will also be wasted and we might get disrespected for speaking about our issues with the gym.
