Not at all impressed. I took a mechanical watch with sentimental value to be repaired and to get a new band. I was given a quote for $450. This seems a bit excessive, but I decided to go ahead anyway.
One month later there was no news so I inquired and was told it was almost ready. Another month passed and I was finally advised that the watch was ready to collect. Great!
When I arrived to collect and pay, the watch was functioning but had the wrong time and there was no new band (I had to purchase that separately at additional cost).
Furthermore, the final asking price was $605, in part, because of an additional charge of $120 for shipping – to and from California “with insurance” – that I was not advised about previously.
Overall, really bad and disinterested service and the original price quoted was quite misleading. But what annoyed me most was an apparent complete disregard for basic business ethics and any sense of charging a fair and reasonable price for services rendered.
“Once bitten twice shy” – I will never again have anything to do with this business.
