Company installed the wrong size air handler. On the one they did install, I cannot find an air filter for it in any of the local home improvement stores. I have to special order them online. I didn’t sign off on this change but the company insisted that they have a copy to prove otherwise (they said they would email me a copy, that never happened).
The contract I have, with my signature on it, does not have that change. The company said that they have the same document with the change and signature on it. This leads me to believe 1) they are lying or 2) they changed the contract after I signed it. Either way it would be unethical. Then they wanted me to purchase the filter through them, that was not going to happened. I wouldn’t give them more business. They also stated that they can correct the part for $1500.
This was to correct something they contractually failed to do. I will not be doing any more business with them, but I will manage a work around for the incorrect part.
