MedExpress Urgent Care

I took my wife here to get tested for the flu. After the doctor diagnosed her and decided to prescribe her oseltamivir (Tamiflu), I asked if he would also write me a prescription so I could use it to prevent myself from getting the flu (this is the way the drug is most effective and should be taken if possible).

Although the doctor was nice enough, he told me that he was not allowed to write me a prescription, even though he is well aware that he should from a medical perspective, and he suggested I call a “family friend” to see if they would write a prescription for me.

He said MedExpress wouldn’t allow him to write for any other family members. I don’t recommend a clinic that doesn’t allow their doctors to provide proper care to patients and their families. Seemed like a money grab if you ask me.
