I was away this summer when a member of my family took my car to Georgetown Auto Service to check for a noise in suspension. They advised changing struts and sway bars, which they supposedly did. 6 months later (today) I take my car for inspection and get told that these very items are completely shot.
Alarmed, I go to a Honda dealership to get their opinion. Verdict: not only was I charged twice as more for the items than I would have at Honda, but they assured me that the work was not done. Yet charges for the work were assessed by Georgetown Auto Service (for a hefty sum nonetheless).
I will probably get a comment from the owners saying “We’ve been in business for , it speaks for itself.” My answer is simple: if you do want to stay in business for another ten, don’t take people for a ride. Word gets around, and it will.
